Hi All and a very warm 'Thank you!' to Bostick & Sullivan for hosting our forum.
Over the last couple of years, silver gelatin emulsion making has entered the 'traditional/alternative' sphere and the information available has been steadily growing. People contact me every week asking questions. It seems the time is ripe to 'go public' and I can't think of a place more perfect than right here. For a general overview of the current state of the silver gelatin renaissance, please visit www.thelightfarm.com. Hopefully, you'll be inspired to give some aspect a try. Questions will undoubtedly arise and I, or any number of people who are already making emulsions, will try our hardest to answer them well. Denise,
This is going to be great. I think you are going to see a good core of photographers that will add to the work. And a bunch of new ones that want to learn and play, I for one included. I am so looking forward to all this new stuff. I guess I need to spend the rest of the week finishing the new darkroom,'I hate Painting!!!!' so the plumber can do the rest next week. Ahh a darkroom 'picture Homer Simpson talking'. Looking forward to all this Jan Pietrzak |

Thanks, Guys. I'm expecting this will be a lot of fun. That's the nice part about starting at the beginning of a 'brand new' process. We're all basically in the same place and there's nowhere but up!
Good luck and progress on that new darkroom, Jan. Few things are more brimming with creative possibilities than a brand new darkroom, no matter how many you've had before (Except for the painting part. We're in complete agreement about painting.) d -------------------- Peace, Joy, and a Good Camera
