I am logged in to the B&S forum but, when I try to access the PDF you have posted, I get the following error message:

"Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available."

Is there another source available? I live in the area and am interested in seeing the show.

Greetings Dan,

We solved the access problem and the pdf should be downloadable now. Sorry for the inconvenience. That would be great if you could come see the show. We have around 60 images and four display cases spread over three floors.

Best Wishes,
Craig

Craig,

I was in Seattle on Monday and made it a point to get by and see the show. Congratulations to you and the other members whose work is on display. I can readily recommend the show to anyone in the area. It is an impressive display of images in a variety of Alt processes.

I can not start a new topic, but I would like to announce that I will be giving an introductory workshop on Carbon Printing the second weekend of November 2009 in Newport, Oregon. It will be held at the Newport Center of Visual Arts. The exact schedule has not been finalized, but we are looking at starting the workshop Friday afternoon with a demonstration of the entire process, followed on Saturday and Sunday with the participants making prints.

Participants will make prints using carbon tissue I will make prior to the workshop. Tissue-making will be demonstrated during the workshop, but due to the shortness of the workshop, we will not be able to print on any carbon tissue made during the workshop as it will not dry in time.

The Newport Center of Visual Arts is a very nice facility located on the beach in Newport. We are starting a series of workshops there covering a wide range of topics...some using the darkroom, some do not. Carbon printing, silver-based emulsion making (both film and paper), the art of color photography, and pinhole photography are just a few of the workshops that will be offered. If you wish, I will post the schedule of up-coming workshops once it gets finalized.

Thank you!

Vaughn

Vaughn,

Please do post additional information as it becomes available. So far, I have not stuck a toe in the carbon stream but I have been reading this forum since its inception and am interested. I have never even seen a real carbon print but am intrigued by the descriptions of their qualities.

This raises an interesting question ... what ever happened to the Center for Photographic History and Technology
which was incorporated in 2004? Is this a viable organization? Even the link on this forum's web page is broken:
