Hello, I am not sure what you are asking. Is It a toner that gives the print a black tone? I have experimented with some developers. If this is the question then, in my own experience the paper has a lot to do with it. If I print on Platine and tone with Borax gold toner then I get a really nice chocolate black tone (toning before fix). the same print toned in selenium (after fixing) then I get a really strong brown sepia quality. I think this one gives a really nice base for applying gum over it. Printing on Bostick and Sullivan oriental paper and toning in gold gives a nice brown. Anyway, I hope this helps some. I do plan to do alot more soon and I will post my results.
